Today, I got to know more students at Lurgan Junior High School through a variety of activities. First, we joined the students for a music class, where I got to break out my percussion skills on xylophone, tambourine, and bongos. Then, we worked on some of our lessons for the upcoming week. After our planning session, we ate lunch with a few students who loved asking us questions about America and we returned just as many about Northern Ireland.
After lunch, we observed a religion class, which was really cool. The class was discussing many social justice issues, such as racism, child soldiers, and the refugee crisis. Lastly, we taught another lesson on teamwork to a group of twelve-year-old students, which was such a fun experience. I am absolutely loving my time in Northern Ireland and I’m so excited to get back to the school in the morning. God bless!
