Friends and Family,
Yesterday we arrived safely in Lurgan, Northern Ireland! Thank you for your prayers.
We landed in Belfast around 11:00am, and spent the day getting to know our individual host families and well…recovering from the travel. In the evening, we spent time with our main hosts, Paul and Marina, who welcomed our team with a delicious, traditional meal: Shepherd’s pie, cabbage, and homemade apple crumble. Yummm!
The time forming new relationships with the people we have met thus far, and bonding as a team has been wonderful! Today we will get the opportunity to attend the church we will be working in throughout the week, touring the town, spending more time bonding with the locals and hearing about our upcoming projects.
Oh...we did also learn that pants in Northern Ireland has a different meaning than pants in the United States. From now on, we will be saying trousers.
More to come soon:)
In Love.
